A Quick Background Story
Many years ago when I first stumbled on the ideology of "Frozen Music" I searched tirelessly for answers and clues to the ratios and relationships that I was finding between Music and Sacred Geometry. I came upon Karen Carty's website and spent hours looking at the captivating lines and textures she creates and listening to her speak fluently about the knowledge that these images hold for all of creation.
I reached out to Karen to explain the plans and concepts for my conceptual albums (one of them being SE7ENchakras at the time) and inquired if she had any recommended resources or intrest in being involved.
After being warmly embraced I received information far beyond what I was looking for in all aspects of life. Thus, my journey began into Sacred Geometry.
Why Circle Squared?
In many of the various teachings I have been studying, be it different styles of yoga, forms of meditation, alchemy, martial arts, all of these different paths to one truth speak on the concept of "one-pointedness". In the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Swami Muktibodhananda speaks about pranic flow, polar opposites becoming closer as the pranic level in the body increases. Perhaps one could argue that this can also relate to magnetism -- the joining of opposites.
In the most famous drawing of western civilization Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, we are left a very powerful message. When the illustration of the man is removed you are left with circle and square. The circle represents God; pure consciousness and spirit; the infinite. The Square represents matter; finite - the world of form.
However, they are not joined at the center point. In Sacred Geometry, like the above-mentioned teachings, it is understood to always join the center points, that everything revolves around "unity", everything revolves around one point. When the points are connected we now have the statement being made that God is within man, that he breaths into him, that the infinite expresses through the finite, that spirit informs matter. Pythagorus believed that the reason we exist in the world of form, in the world of limit, is to acces the infinite, to acces the super-conscious. These are the same teachings that can be found in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika & Putanjali's Yoga Sutras.
In our daily yoga and meditation practices we are opening and calming our minds. Whether you knew it or not you are increasing your pranic energy, working closer towards "one-pointedness" and enlightenment, accessing the divine, the inner-teacher within us all.
Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man has also standardized the human body's architectural design ratios affecting literally all of the dimensions you work with today. The desk your using, whatever you may be sitting on at the moment, or the doorways that you have walked through. Perhaps we have not looked close enough at the greatest proportion, the proportion that Spirit is within each and everyone of us, not on the outside. That within each and everyone of us is the limitless potential of creation and the universe. All we need to do is access it. There is no separation between the higher dimensions and the lower dimensions.
Circle Squared to me is a visual reminder of this intention.
One Step further
There is a practice from the ancient world. If you draw a circle just within the square, draw a horizontal line dividing it in half and connect the points at the top of the circle creating a pyramid. Then take the radius from the point at the top of your pyramid to the bottom of the original square and draw another circle. Enclose that circle with another square.
This drawing will give you the actual ratio mathematically of our Earth to our Moon and the actual mathematical angle of "The Great Pyramids of Giza." If you translate proportions in miles or metric it is exact.
There is no separation between the higher dimensions and the lower dimensions.
